Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The New Bengo General Hospital built in the town of Bucula, about five kilometers from the city of Caxito, will be inaugurated this Monday.<\/b><\/p>\n

The infrastructure has capacity for 200 beds, 15 clinical areas distributed in 24 blocks, six residences for professionals and a hemodialysis center.<\/p>\n

The new hospital, which will be a training and scientific research center, will encompass several services, with emphasis on general medicine, pediatrics and surgery.<\/p>\n

Work on the new general hospital began in August 2021, in an area of \u200b\u200b45 square meters, with a completion period of 18 months.<\/p>\n

It is budgeted at around 63 million and 180 thousand dollars.<\/p>\n

The province’s health network is made up of six municipal hospitals, two general ones, 22 health centers, one maternal and child health center and 73 health posts.<\/p>\n

The province of Bengo has 105 specialized internal doctors, 26 expatriate specialist doctors, 29 national specialist doctors, 1,477 nurses, 398 diagnostic and therapeutic technicians, 158 in general, 237 in hospital support, making a total of two thousand and 430 health technicians.<\/p>\n

Centrality of Caxito<\/p>\n

Also built in the town of Bucula, around five kilometers from the city of Caxito, it has the first 500 T3 apartments, incorporated into 2, 3 and 4-storey buildings, completed and ready to be handed over to residents.<\/p>\n

In this phase, 80 buildings were built, of which 72 house shops and 486 homes. Of these dwellings, 08 are single-story houses and 478 apartments.<\/p>\n

The villas have three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, balcony, water and energy.<\/p>\n

Authorized by the President of the Republic, through Order No. 54\/21 of April 29, the centrality has, at this stage, health posts, police and a primary school with 24 rooms.<\/p>\n

The project will have a total of one thousand homes, including 946 apartments, 30 houses and 72 stores.<\/p>\n

In the second phase, 78 buildings of different types will be built.<\/p>\n

Budgeted at US$182.9 million, plus US$4.5 million for the inspection contract, the centrality, the first phase of which began in February 2022.<\/p>\n

The construction works at the centrality generated approximately 1,350 new direct jobs.<\/p>\n
