Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The play \u201cPneu de Socorro\u201d, by the group Projecto SOS do Huambo, marked, this Friday, the opening of the II edition of the Angolan Theater Festival (FAMO), in the monologue category.<\/b><\/p>\n

The event, which takes place under the motto “With theater in our hearts, let us honor the ideals of culture and the heroes of the Angolan Homeland”, includes the participation of 23 theater groups from the provinces of Bengo, Benguela, Cuando Cubango, Cuanza Sul, Huambo, Hui\u0301la, Luanda, Moxico, Namibe and Uige, including Brazil.<\/p>\n

These are the groups Projecto SOS, Eliandjo, Twapandula Angola, Colectivo Efetikilo, Estrela em Palco, Tunahete, Protesa, Puau Abrealas, Projecto Bamar, Agu, A\u0301gua Performance, Ivasa\u0303o Ce\u0301nica, Mundo Banha, Mulongi ya Mbote, Vejabo, Vela, Twapanga , Everest, Colectivo Nova Lua, Associac\u0327a\u0303o Oni\u0301ssimo, Colectivo de Artes Padu, Visa\u0303o Dom Bosco, Sementes D’Arte and the Brazilian producer Latinidade.<\/p>\n

Scheduled to end on the 26th of this month, the festival, reserved only for the beginning of the night on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), the pieces must portray the 48 years of National Independence, which are celebrated 11 of this month, in addition to being linked to cultural identity.<\/p>\n

FAMO coordinator, Nelson Nhanga, said that the idea of \u200b\u200bthe festival consists of the massification of art and national culture, through theater in the monologues category.<\/p>\n

He explained that the event aims to encourage national theater and playwrights to write works about the importance of promoting cultural, civic and moral values.<\/p>\n

Of the pieces to be exhibited, he highlighted the “Imbalance of life\u201d, “Dangerous artefact\u201d, “End of a dream\u201d, which portray the fragility of coexistence in homes and female empowerment.<\/p>\n

The first edition of FAMO took place in 2022 with 18 theater groups from the provinces of Bengo, Benguela, Bie\u0301, Cuando Cubango, Cuanza Sul, Huambo, Hui\u0301la, Luanda and Uige, under the motto \u201cWith Neto’s teachings, to our stages and cultures We will come back.\u201d<\/p>\n
