Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The vice-governor of Cuando Cubango for technical services and infrastructure, Joa\u0303o Bonefa\u0301cio Cassanga, considered, this Monday, that participatory citizenship should be the main matrix for the country’s multifaceted development, as a way of valuing national independence .<\/b><\/p>\n

When speaking at the opening of the days celebrating 48 years of national independence, to be marked on November 11, he highlighted that the date represents one of the greatest and most important achievements of Angolans, which cost the lives of many of this nation’s children.<\/p>\n

He said it was a historic milestone of extreme importance for the country, arguing that the patriotic feeling that motivated the struggle for national liberation, promoted by brave fighters who gave their lives for the emancipation of Angola so that it could become a country worth taking into account in the concert of nations, it must continue to be the main source of inspiration for current generations.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor this reason, participatory citizenship today is seen as a fundamental axis in the construction of an Angola in which all citizens contribute to its construction, through professional training programs, support for production, diversification of the economy, exports and import substitution\u201d , he highlighted.<\/p>\n

The vice-governor highlighted that the battle for the country’s diversification and development is currently a great struggle that requires everyone’s dedication.<\/p>\n

He explained that this year’s celebrations will serve to praise the figure of the late Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto, first president of the Republic of Angola, perpetuating his and the legacy of all the heroes of the Angolan homeland.<\/p>\n

At Cuando Cubango level, the provincial event will take place in the municipality of Cuchi and a series of activities are planned such as lectures, round tables, inaugurations of social and institutional infrastructures, photographic exhibitions and others.<\/p>\n

The opening act was attended by provincial delegates from the Ministry of the Interior and Justice and Human Rights, directors of public institutions, university and high school students, ecclesiastical and traditional authorities, among other guests.<\/p>\n
