Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Secretary of State for Human Rights and Citizenship, Ana Celeste, reiterated, this Tuesday, in Luanda, that Angola protects the dignity of all human beings, requiring monitoring of institutions, in order to see them respected the rights and guarantees of citizens.<\/b><\/p>\n

For the governor, for this reason, the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights is committed to developing an educational program on the subject, as part of reinforcing knowledge of the National Strategy.<\/p>\n

During the opening of the Human Rights Forum, with the theme \u201cHuman Rights, democracy and culture of peace: challenges of protection\u201d, Ana Celeste stated that everything involves educating people, in order to prevent cases of disrespect for human rights, linked to failures in aspects of knowledge.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to work to reinforce the training of operators, in this case students who will work in Law\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

In turn, the Secretary of State for Higher Education, Euge\u0301nio Silva, pointed out some signs that undermine Human Rights, namely, the lack of access to the Identity Card, the delay in service at the level of institutions, as well as the absence of medical care.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Euge\u0301nio Silva said that for those citizens who want to assert themselves as worthy, they must respect their rights and duties.<\/p>\n

The rector of the Methodist University of Angola, Tiago Mutombo, said that the Forum serves to strengthen law students in matters of Human Rights, once they begin to exercise functions in society in the future.<\/p>\n

The event is part of the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 10, 1948.<\/p>\n
