Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A memorandum of understanding between the Federal Data Processing Service (SERPRO), of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and the Public Finance Information and Communication Technologies Service (SETIC- FP), of the Republic of Angola, was initialed in Tuesday (07), in Brasi\u0301lia. <\/b><\/p>\n

Alexandre Amorim, CEO of SERPO and Edilson Coelho, general director of SETIC-FP, were signatories of the agreement that gives priority to strengthening cooperation and strategic partnership between both institutions.<\/p>\n

The document that predicts excellent levels of cooperation states that the partnership will significantly contribute to the promotion, modernization and development of information and communication technologies in Angola.<\/p>\n

For Edilson Coelho, the signed memorandum is the recovery of an exchange that began in 2008, when they had the opportunity to visit a Brazilian public software portal, during an event in Luanda.<\/p>\n

For his part, Alexandre Amorim made a point of highlighting that the act marks the beginning of a new era in cooperation between Brazil and Angola, especially in the search and exchange of knowledge, innovation and solutions in the area of \u200b\u200binformation technology.<\/p>\n

During their stay in Brasi\u0301lia, the Angolan delegation participated in several meetings related to the sector, as well as exploring joint business opportunities.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that SERPRO in Brazil is \u201cumbilically\u201d linked to the Ministry of Finance, while in Angola SETIC-FP is an integral part of the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n
