Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A group of businesspeople from the province of Moxico will participate, starting this Thursday, at the Solwezi International Expo, in the northwestern province of Zambia, to showcase local production potential and establish business partnerships with the class of this neighboring country.<\/b><\/p>\n

This event, lasting two days, takes place under the motto \u201cPromoting business partnerships for sustainable growth\u201d.<\/p>\n

The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moxico, Agrione Manuel, said that the delegation from his province will exhibit various business segments linked to the sectors of agriculture, construction, food and service provision, as well as timber exploitation.<\/p>\n

“Our focus is to find partnerships to allow the creation of consortiums of companies from Solwezi, Mungo and Moxico and request the governments of both countries to materialize the ongoing road construction project, which allows the connection of the respective regions”, he said .<\/p>\n

The provinces of Moxico and Northwest Zambia recently held a regional cooperation and cultural exchange forum, which took place from October 30th to November 2nd, in the city of Luena.<\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, co-chaired by provincial governors Ernesto Muangala (Moxico) and Robert Liehfu (Northwest Zambia), the delegations signed several agreements in the economic, defense and security, social and cultural fields.<\/p>\n

Among the agreements, those for incentives for agricultural production stand out, for corn, wheat, rice, soy, cassava and pineapple crops.<\/p>\n

It also includes the production of fertilizers, food storage, surveillance and management of livestock diseases, the construction of border infrastructure and the use of the Lobito Corridor.<\/p>\n

It also provides for the joint implementation of projects in the areas of technical and higher education, environmental management, national and foreign languages, among others.<\/p>\n

The province of Moxico shares 747 kilometers of land and river border with the Republic of Zambia.<\/p>\n
