{"id":49399,"date":"2023-11-13T18:25:10","date_gmt":"2023-11-13T18:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/?p=49399"},"modified":"2023-11-13T15:00:37","modified_gmt":"2023-11-13T15:00:37","slug":"embassy-in-drc-highlights-influence-of-bantu-roots-in-european-languages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/embassy-in-drc-highlights-influence-of-bantu-roots-in-european-languages","title":{"rendered":"Embassy in DRC highlights influence of Bantu roots in European languages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Angolan embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) promoted, this Friday, in Kinshasa, a lecture on the theme \u201cthe Bantu roots of the Latin language and its influence on European languages\u201d, as part of the celebrations of the 48th anniversary of National Independence, which is celebrated (11 November).<\/b><\/p>\n<p>During the lecture, given by Angolan professor Melo Josias, the challenges of valuing the cultures and languages \u200b\u200bof African peoples and their impact outside the continent were highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>According to a note from the Angolan diplomatic mission in that country, in front of academics and diplomats accredited in the DRC, the speaker invited researchers to work hard to, according to him, establish a truth hidden for centuries, about the primordial contribution of Africans to civilization of all humanity.<\/p>\n<p>When speaking at the event, the Angolan ambassador to the DRC, Miguel da Costa, focused on the study of Bantu as one of the most relevant ways to understand the formation process of many peoples in Africa and other parts of the world.<\/p>\n<p>This Saturday, the 48th anniversary of national independence, achieved on November 11, 1975, is celebrated, with the central event scheduled for the province of Lunda Sul, under the motto \u201cNovember 11: United for the development of Angola.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
