Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The XI ordinary session of the Provincial Government of Luanda recommended, this Friday, the carrying out of awareness campaigns and the issuing of early warnings as measures to reduce disasters in the rainy season.<\/b><\/p>\n

The session took place in Viana, under the guidance of the provincial governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem, who has been carrying out, since Thursday, a two-day working visit to the municipality, which has more than three million inhabitants.<\/p>\n

He recommended that the National Police pay more attention to incidents within neighborhoods, to convey a feeling of security to citizens.<\/p>\n

The meeting analyzed the socio-political and economic situation of Viana, in particular, and the province, in general, and served to launch the \u201cgovern together\u201d program.<\/p>\n

The aforementioned program consists of holding provincial government sessions in municipalities, as a way of supporting, verifying and monitoring ongoing actions in the respective districts.<\/p>\n

According to Manuel Homem, \u201cgoverning together\u201d is a mechanism for articulation between the provincial government and the communities, to improve the living conditions of the population.<\/p>\n

The same will be implemented in the nine municipalities. Kilamba Kiaxi will be the next to be visited, in this program, on the 29th and 30th of January 2024.<\/p>\n

For you, this program will also allow citizens to get to know the different GPL bodies and managers better, with a view to better interaction.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a mechanism that strengthens participatory dialogue and the inclusion of citizens in actions to be implemented by the provincial government in communities\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

The session found that the Integrated Program for Local Development and Combating Poverty was implemented at 76.9 percent, while in the area of \u200b\u200bpublic security, the situation is considered stable.<\/p>\n

For two days, Manuel Homem x-rayed, among others, the works on Viana’s secondary and tertiary roads.<\/p>\n
