Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first secretary of the MPLA in Bie\u0301, Pereira Alfredo, expressed this Saturday, in the municipality of Cuemba, the need for activists to adapt to the new times, in order to help the party overcome the next challenges.<\/b><\/p>\n

The politician was speaking at a mass political event, which he led as part of his visit to that district, which is 164 kilometers from Cuito, the capital of Bienna.<\/p>\n

For Pereira Alfredo, MPLA activists, especially the youth, must constantly focus on renewal and contextualize themselves with new information technology, with a view to enhancing the party’s objectives.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe, as activists, have to be more informed, staunch defenders of the cause of the party and the country, and be closer to our leader Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, so that his governance is prosperous\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

He took the opportunity to ask the youth, as the driving force of the Nation, to transform previously mined fields into agricultural production sites, to create wealth that can empower families.<\/p>\n

Still within the framework of his visit to Cuemba, the party’s first secretary will preside over the fourth technical meeting between the secretariat of the executive committee and the MPLA’s first municipal secretaries.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, members will assess and approve the minutes of the III provincial meeting of the secretariat of the executive committee with the municipal first secretaries and their level of compliance, as well as the issuance of militant cards.<\/p>\n

They will also assess the degree of implementation of the presidential decree granting gasoline subsidies for agricultural and fishing production and for inter-municipal, inter-urban and urban transport.<\/p>\n

The characterization of the internal life of the party, the political, social and economic situation of the municipalities, the current status of the commission and the residents’ council are other issues to be debated.<\/p>\n
