Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Two hundred and ninety thousand and 560 linear meters of raw fabric, produced at the Testaf textile factory (formerly Satec), are stored due to lack of raw material for finishing.<\/b><\/p>\n

The product is the result of the spinning and knitting sections of the manufacturing unit coming into operation since November 2022, but it remains in storage due to a lack of chemicals for finishing.<\/p>\n

The company’s director, Alexandre Carlos Neto, said that in warehouses there are also 792 thousand kilograms of yarn on reels, produced by the spinning line, pending the acquisition of chemical products.<\/p>\n

For this reason, the dyeing and clothing areas are inoperative, a fact that affects the entry of new workers.<\/p>\n

The management, according to the person responsible, is taking steps to acquire these products in countries in Europe and America, aiming to start the commercial process throughout 2024.<\/p>\n

Alexandre Neto also explained that the company has a stock of 200 thousand tons of cotton, sufficient quantities for the factory to operate in three shifts.<\/p>\n

At the moment, as it does not have all the necessary raw materials, the unit operates in two shifts, staffed by 108 workers.<\/p>\n

Testaf (formerly Satec) was built between 2011 and 2015, through funding from the Japanese Government, valued at 420 million dollars, which allowed the training of 1,050 young people.<\/p>\n

It occupies an area of \u200b\u200b88 thousand square meters, brings together spinning, knitting, dyeing, finishing, clothing manufacturing services and one for the manufacture of denim fabrics.<\/p>\n

The first line has an installed capacity to produce 180 thousand sweaters and 150 thousand shirts monthly, while the second has a production capacity of 480 thousand meters of denim fabrics per month.<\/p>\n
