Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Four hundred and 20 soldiers from the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), including senior officers, junior officers, captains, sergeants and soldiers from the Southern Military Region Command (RMS), received their retirement licensing certificates, based on age limits. <\/b><\/p>\n

This is a follow-up to order No0019\/CEMG\/FAA of October 2nd, which regulates their termination and transition to retirement and reserve, in compliance with order No0158CMDTE from the army commander, of October 8th of this year.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the ceremony handing out ballots to graduates from units affecting the provinces of Hui\u0301la, Namibe, Cunene and Cuando Cubango, in Lubango, the RMS Chief of Staff, Brigadier Ma\u0301rio Jorge Miranda, stressed that it does not mean incapacity and\/or uselessness , only reinforces the idea of \u200b\u200bthe end of a cycle.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an administrative and necessary measure to produce the desired legal effects and which is passed from generation to generation, with the aim that the youngest continue with the mission of serving the Nation\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

“Licensed military personnel played a decisive role in carrying out complex missions, some of which were high risk, in favor of defending national independence, sovereignty, peace and territorial integrity, which is why the FAA will be able to count on them in other fronts, especially in academies and military institutions”, he reinforced.<\/p>\n

He considered that the current context, marked, above all, by the war between Russia and Ukraine, the coups d’e\u0301tat in the home continent and the war in the Middle East, are warnings for every Angolan, as a son of this land, to be prepared.<\/p>\n

He also defended the need for the military to be in full combative and operational mood, to respond together to challenges, whether internal or external, thus pursuing the arduous task of maintaining and preserving territorial integrity.<\/p>\n
