Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Interior delegate in the province of Cunene, commissioner Anto\u0301nio Ribeiro, urged, this Tuesday, the continued training of the Civil Protection and Fire Services, aiming to improve the technical and professional skills of the staff.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening of the day commemorating the 42nd anniversary of the SPCB, to be celebrated on November 30th, he said that investing in training is a fundamental obligation to improve the provision of services to populations in emergency situations.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that the skills of the fire services, whose mission is to save lives and protect property, require from its participants a lot of attention, expertise and continuous exploration of the intellect, in order to effectively monitor the work dynamics.<\/p>\n

Anto\u0301nio Ribeiro also highlighted the intensification of the circulation of information about prophylactic self-protection measures essential to populations.<\/p>\n

He added that civil protection must pay attention to proactive actions aimed at raising awareness among citizens to mitigate the effects of the cyclical phenomena that characterize the province, with acts of tree planting, advice not to build in risk areas and reduce the impact of disasters on communities .<\/p>\n

He also highlighted the combination of synergies with other defense and security forces to convey a feeling of public security and tranquility to pollution.<\/p>\n

The promotion of lectures, prophylactic visits to public and private institutions, demonstrative simulation, exhibition of media, football tournaments 11 account for the day of firefighters’ day in Cunene.<\/p>\n

Under the motto \u201cFirefighters from Angola firmly at the forefront, in modernization to protect life and property\u201d, the day also marks the national prevention week, established on November 30, 1981.<\/p>\n

The action aims to honor the bravery and fearless spirit shown by firefighter operators during the massive fire that occurred at the Luanda oil refinery in 1981.<\/p>\n
