Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of State for the Social Sector, Dalva Ringote, considered, this Wednesday, the 3rd edition of the Luanda Biennale, a firm commitment from Angola to the peaceful resolution of conflicts, strengthening democracy, development and prosperity in the areas socioeconomic.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening of the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence – Luanda Biennial, which has been running since today, he said that the motto: \u201cEducation, Culture of Peace and African Citizenship as Tools for the Development of the Continent\u201d, represents the will of the African people to achieve political, economic, environmental stability, food security, combating poverty, science, culture, women’s empowerment and social inclusion.<\/p>\n

He reaffirmed that the meeting, which is organized every two years, is an inter-African space for dialogue, promoting peace on the continent, which brings together heads of states, young people, international leaders, financial institutions, the private sector, civil society, community scientific, artistic and sporting.<\/p>\n

For Dalva Ringote, the African continent has a common objective in peace, as it is fully aware that it constitutes the basis for development, economic and political integration, training of human capital, attracting investment, promoting commercial exchange, sustainable management of resources natural resources, energy security and technological development.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that \u201cAngola is a country of peace that we are all proud of, as Angolans and Africans\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Minister of State understands that education, peace and citizenship are fundamentals for the sustainable development of the continent, highlighting the importance of a common vision, to which African states are increasingly committed.<\/p>\n

He recalled that the African continent has a population of 1.4 billion inhabitants, the majority of whom are women and young people, called to participate to reflect on the great challenges that arise, especially in the field of culture, education, empowerment and the construction of a process of peace.<\/p>\n

The 3rd edition of the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence – Luanda Biennial runs until the 24th of this month, under the motto: \u201cEducation, Culture of Peace and African Citizenship as Tools for the Development of the Continent\u201d .<\/p>\n

The event will address in six panels the themes \u201cYoung people, actors in promoting the culture of peace and social transformations on the continent\/High Level Dialogue\u201d, \u201cTechnology and education as tools to achieve gender equality\u201d, \u201cThe role of women in peace, security and development processes\u201d and \u201cThe process of transforming educational systems: innovative practices and financing in the African context\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe challenges and opportunities of the integration of the African continent and the prospects for economic growth\u201d, \u201cclimate change, ethical challenges, impact, adaptation and vulnerability\u201d.<\/p>\n
