Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of Cape Verde, Jose\u0301 Maria Neves, defended this Wednesday, in Luanda, that Africa must provide more opportunities for the continent’s young people, in order to contribute to the development and transformation of talents.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the statesman, who spoke on the Intergenerational Dialogue panel, within the scope of the Luanda Biennial, African leaders must avoid defrauding young people’s expectations.<\/p>\n

For Jose\u0301 Maria Neves, it is essential to democratize access to education, ensure the transformation of education to acquire knowledge in the most diverse areas, so that every young African can have the necessary tools to grow on the continent and contribute to development.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the need to work on the massification of sport, in all modalities, with the certainty that “we are all aware of Africa’s wealth of talents and capabilities\u201d.<\/p>\n

In this context, he also advocated that “infrastructures should be created in schools, high schools and universities” to achieve this objective and enhance all existing talents.<\/p>\n

The 3rd edition of the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence – Luanda Biennial runs until the 24th of this month, under the motto: \u201cEducation, Culture of Peace and African Citizenship as Tools for the Development of the Continent\u201d .<\/p>\n

The event will address in six panels the themes \u201cYoung people, actors in promoting the culture of peace and social transformations on the continent\/High Level Dialogue\u201d, \u201cTechnology and education as tools to achieve gender equality\u201d, \u201cThe role of women in peace, security and development processes\u201d and \u201cThe process of transforming educational systems: innovative practices and financing in the African context\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe challenges and opportunities of the integration of the African continent and the prospects for economic growth\u201d, \u201cclimate change, ethical challenges, impact, adaptation and vulnerability\u201d.<\/p>\n
