Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angolan actors residing in Portugal and prominent in the world of performing arts considered, in Lubango, Hui\u0301la province, that it was opportune for the provincial governments to improve the conditions of theaters and cinemas, to better value the country’s art and culture .<\/b><\/p>\n

In separate interviews in this city, the protagonists of the mini-series \u201cMakamba Hotel\u201d shown in 2007, and who are working in this city, stated that Angola is rich in arts, but needs appropriate and improved spaces for the actors to display their works.<\/p>\n

Meirinho Mendes highlighted that theater is an important element for the education of society, due to its form of representation, so it must be properly supported, to better contribute revenue to the state’s General Budget (OGE).<\/p>\n

Another actor, Manuel Santos, said that cultural infrastructures are an important means of inserting young people into the direct and indirect job market, in addition to encouraging the production of cultural industries.<\/p>\n

In turn, the author A\u0302ngelo Torres, considered that if there are infrastructures for the exhibition of performing arts and other disciplines, such as dance, theater, music and poetry, they will spark the interest of more young people to enter the artistic world .<\/p>\n

\u201cTheatre is life, which is why it is necessary to make more investments in the arts, with the improvement of infrastructures to the level of exhibitions, which is why provincial governments must commit themselves and invest in infrastructures that can better enhance the art of acting,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The group of actors spent the last four days, in Lubango, presenting a play entitled \u201cAmi\u0301lcar Gerac\u0327a\u0303o\u201d, by the Portuguese-Santomean author, A\u0302ngelo Torres, to teachers, university students, historians and elements linked to the performing arts, within the framework of 48 years of national independence, marked on the 11th of this month.<\/p>\n

The event was followed by a free theater workshop, with interpretation techniques as an act of creation and recreation on stage.<\/p>\n

The \u201cAmi\u0301lcar Gerac\u0327a\u0303o\u201d project is a dramatic monologue, whose theme highlights the legacy of Ami\u0301lcar Cabral.<\/p>\n
