{"id":50320,"date":"2023-11-25T06:13:16","date_gmt":"2023-11-25T06:13:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/visit-to-historical-sites-marks-the-end-of-the-luanda-biennale"},"modified":"2023-11-25T06:24:04","modified_gmt":"2023-11-25T06:24:04","slug":"visit-to-historical-sites-marks-the-end-of-the-luanda-biennale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/visit-to-historical-sites-marks-the-end-of-the-luanda-biennale","title":{"rendered":"Visit to historical sites marks the end of the Luanda Biennale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>Visits to the Agostinho Neto Memorial, Iron Palace and National Museum of Military History will mark, this Friday, the closing of the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-violence &#8211; Luanda Biennial, which has been running since Wednesday -fair.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Participants will also visit the Currency and Anthropology museums.<\/p>\n<p>On the first two days, participants approached the panels &#8220;Young people, actors in promoting the culture of peace and social transformations on the continent&#8221; and \u201cAccess to technology and Education as tools to achieve gender equality\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe process of transforming educational systems: innovative financing practices in the African context\u201d, the \u201crole of women in the peace, security and development process at African level\u201d, the \u201cChallenges and opportunities for the integration of the African continent and the perspectives of economic growth\u201d and \u201cClimate change: ethical challenges, impact, adaptation and vulnerability\u201d, are also on the debate agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-violence has the participation of the Presidents of the Republic of Cape Verde, Jose\u0301 Maria Neves, the Republic of Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe, Carlos Vila Nova and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle-WorkZewed .<\/p>\n<p>Among the figures, the presence of the vice-president of Namibia, Nangolo Mbumba, and the prime minister of Equatorial Guinea, Manuela RokaBotey, also stands out.<\/p>\n<p>The guest list also includes four African Union Advisors and former Heads of State, such as the former president of Nigeria, Olusengo Obasanjo, of Mozambique, Joaquim Chissano, and of Malawi, Joyce Banda.<\/p>\n<p>The Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace and Non-violence is also attended by the President of the African Union Commission, Mousa Faki Mahamat, and the Deputy Director General of UNESCO, Xing Qu.<\/p>\n<p>Among the results expected in this 3rd edition of the Luanda Biennale, the highlight is the deepening of the sharing of visions on the culture of peace, security, African citizenship, democracy on the continent, with the construction of more peaceful societies, transforming attitudes and approaches in the areas of politics, economy and culture, to strengthen the pillars of the continent&#8217;s integral progress.<\/p>\n<p>Coordination with the African Union is also expected for the preparation and implementation of the continent&#8217;s activities inherent to Peace and Reconciliation in Africa, due to the designation of the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, as Champion of Peace and Reconciliation of the African Union.<\/p>\n<p>It is also intended to reinforce reflection on the advantages of implementing quality education, African citizenship, continental integration, climate action, the use of renewable energy and information and communication technologies, the empowerment of women and girls , as well as the consolidation of democratic governance and the rule of law in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The Luanda Biennale serves as a platform for implementing the &#8220;Action Plan for a Culture of Peace in Africa\/We Act for Peace&#8221;, adopted in March 2013, in Luanda, at the Pan-African Forum &#8220;Sources and Resources for a Culture of Peace &#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
