Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola’s ombudsman, Florbela Arau\u0301jo, represents the country at the 7th General Assembly of the Association of African Ombudsmen and Mediators (AOMA), which began this Monday in the city of Kigali, capital of Rwanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

Taking place until the 30th of this month, the meeting aims, above all, to elect the new members of the Executive Committee of this organization, including the president of the body, according to a note from the ombudsman’s office.<\/p>\n

As the highest point of the assembly, the election takes place on Wednesday, November 29th.<\/p>\n

The first day (27) and this Tuesday are reserved for preparatory and technical meetings, under the general motto: “Navigating Ethical Dilemmas in Mediation and the Ombudsman”.<\/p>\n

As part of the technical meetings, Florbela Arau\u0301jo will give a lecture on \u201cthe dilemmas of ethics in the role of ombudsman and how these principles guide the activities of these professionals\u201d.<\/p>\n

Still within the framework of the assembly, the 26th meeting of the AOMA Executive Committee is also scheduled for today, as stipulated in article 14 of its Statutes.<\/p>\n

Florbela Arau\u0301jo heads a delegation made up of management and leadership positions, which was received by the minister advisor, Lui\u0301s dos Santos, and the first secretary of the Angolan Embassy in Rwanda, Joaquim de Oliveira, as well as officials from AOMA.<\/p>\n
