Today, as vice-president of the Angolan Handball Federation, the former member of the National Team uses few words to describe the Pearls’ current situation, after playing three games in the Four Nations tournament.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are all very well and ready for the World Cup\u201d, he assured.<\/p>\n

On the part of the technical team there is always something missing. Vivaldo Eduardo and Nelson Catito are demanding of themselves and, no matter how much others affirm the team’s readiness, their speech is always cautious.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow, Angola will face France, runner-up in the world, in the opening of preliminary group D.<\/p>\n

In the second round, the African champions face Slovenia and close the first phase against Iceland.<\/p>\n

As part of the preparation, the National Team faced, in the Posten Cup, similar teams from Norway, Poland and Iceland between the 23rd and 26th of this year. Participation in the tournament resulted in two defeats and one victory. The losses were against Norway (24-32) and Poland (30-33). Angola beat Iceland 27-24.<\/p>\n
