Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The presidents of the Courts of Justice of Portuguese-speaking countries and territories defended this Wednesday, in Brasi\u0301lia, the creation of a technical group to ensure the digitalization and electrical processing of the Courts.<\/b><\/p>\n

On the second day of the Conference of the 11th Forum of Presidents of the Supreme Courts of Justice of Portuguese-speaking Countries and Territories, those present decided, unanimously, to create a working group, composed of IT experts from each country, with the purpose of materializing the digitalization and electronic processing of processes in the community’s Supreme Courts.<\/p>\n

The Forum’s secretariat, headed by the President of the Supreme Court of Justice of Portugal, Henrique Arau\u0301jo, defined December 20, 2023 as the deadline for each country to indicate the elements that will join the technical group.<\/p>\n

In the first phase, the group’s mission will be to understand the digitalization system in each country, carry out a needs assessment and propose a digitalization model and electronic processing of processes in accordance with the local reality.<\/p>\n

The President of the Supreme Court of Angola, Joel Leonardo, proposed the development of a permanent training exchange program, to ensure the sharing of know-how and guarantee better qualification of the staff who will integrate the technical group.<\/p>\n

The Coordinator of the Conference of the 11th Forum of Presidents of the Supreme Courts of Justice of Portuguese-speaking Countries and Territories, Joa\u0303o Octa\u0301vio de Noronha, justified the creation of the group as a necessary measure so that “everyone walks together and no country in the community is left behind in digitization matter”.<\/p>\n

The second day of work ended with the election of Cape Verde as the organizing country of the 12th Forum of Presidents of the Supreme Courts of Justice of Portuguese-Speaking Countries and Territories, in 2024.<\/p>\n
