Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Economy and Planning, Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o, considered in Luanda, that the National Development Plan 2023\/2027 “is a clear declaration of the Government’s collective commitment to the sustainable future of the country”.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening of the Methodological Meeting between the National Authorizer and International Partners, which takes place following the approval of the aforementioned PDN, he highlighted that it defines the goals and strategies to boost economic growth and promote social inclusion.<\/p>\n

“This plan, more than a document, is a clear declaration of the Government’s collective commitment to a sustainable future for the country”, highlighted the Minister of Economy and Planning.<\/p>\n

According to the government official, the PDN 2023\/2027 brings many new features, but the majority is its magnetic approach to development, highlighting the impact of transforming this plan into a structure with seven axes of action and rationalized into two pillars of development.<\/p>\n

Ma\u0301rio Caetano Joa\u0303o explained that the first pillar has to do with the need to invest in human capital, the importance of investing in people through education and health, the basic factor for creating a capable and entrepreneurial society.<\/p>\n

The second, he added, is reserved for food security, ensuring that communities have access to sufficient nutritious food, and thus promoting the increase in jobs, the rationalization of currency, the minimization of shareholders in the markets and greater stability of the rate of exchange.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe that a well-fed and nourished nation is a prosperous nation in the most diverse areas, and these two pillars are interdependent, creating a solid foundation for the socio-economic and sustainable development of Angola”, he explained.<\/p>\n

He made it known that his ministerial department is the National Coordinator for the country’s socio-economic development policies, and has as partners the European Union, the World Bank, the French Development Agencies, Japan International Cooperation and the Bank African Development.<\/p>\n

“We are talking here about the private sector, mainly the non-oil sector, foreign investment, the oil sector, commercial banking and our own savings. Each of us invests here and there. Therefore, this is the financing horizon” , reported.<\/p>\n

He added that knowing the financing horizon and knowing that there is a certain limitation of public resources for the implementation of the PDN, it must be systematic in order to open up enough areas so that partners can join in this journey for the country’s development.<\/p>\n
