Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, arrived this Friday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to participate in the COP 28 World Climate Action Summit.<\/b><\/p>\n

Coming from the United States of America, where he met, at the White House, with his counterpart Joe Biden, the Head of State received, at Al Maktoum Airport, greetings from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio, and other individuals present.<\/p>\n

According to the agenda, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o will take part in the event on Saturday.<\/p>\n

On the first day of the meeting of Heads of State and Government, led by the president of COP 28, Al Jaber, speeches were made by, among other personalities, the UN Secretary-General, Anto\u0301nio Guterres, King Charles, of the United Kingdom, the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, the Prime Minister of India, Narenda Modi, the President of the European Community, Ursula von der Leyen, among other entities.<\/p>\n

At the invitation of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o will also hold some work meetings.<\/p>\n

COP 28 takes place from November 30th to December 12th, 2023.<\/p>\n

COP 28 will present the first-ever Global Stocktake, that is, a comprehensive assessment of progress towards climate objectives.<\/p>\n
