Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, Carlos dos Santos, praises and recognizes the dedication and role played by employees and collaborators in this sector in building an increasingly modern and inclusive Angola.<\/b><\/p>\n

In reference to the 46th anniversary of Angolan Builder’s Day, which is celebrated December 3rd, the government official points to the construction of public infrastructures that stimulate the country’s economic and harmonious growth and development as the main priority of the ministerial department .<\/p>\n

To achieve this, he adds, the participation and efforts of public and private entities are necessary, with a view to the continued dynamization of the Angolan economy and the maintenance of the sector among those that generate the most jobs and unite Angolans, shortening physical, cultural and psychological distances.<\/p>\n

The minister also considers Builder’s Day as an opportune moment to pay tribute to all the precursors, especially the First President of Angola, Anto\u0301nio Agostinho Neto, who established the celebration on December 3, 1977, after visiting residential buildings built in Luanda, in the Golf District.<\/p>\n

Finally, Carlos dos Santos comforts and recognizes the contractors, designers, inspectors, artisans, professional orders and other social partners, who work together for a better Angola.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing (MINOPUH) is the auxiliary body of the Holder of the Executive Power, which is responsible for proposing the formulation of policies, executing and controlling the Executive’s programs and projects in the areas of its activity.<\/p>\n
