Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of the province of Moxico, Ernesto Muangala, appealed, this Tuesday, to the Angolan community residing in Zambia to respect local laws and maintain a healthy coexistence in the neighboring country.<\/b><\/p>\n

Muangala was speaking during a meeting with the Angolan community living in the city of Solwezi, capital of Northwest Zambia, where more than 600,000 Angolans live, including former refugees and residents.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is necessary to maintain a healthy coexistence with the laws of this country, our neighbor, so that they can respect us and guarantee conditions of habitability, cooperation and partnerships\u201d, said the governor of Moxico who is in Solwezi for the II Regional Cooperation Forum and Moxico\/Noroeste Cultural Exchange.<\/p>\n

From another perspective, Muangala informed Angolans living in this Zambian region of the progress the country is making in terms of reconstruction, including road infrastructure that will connect Moxico with the neighboring provinces of Zambia.<\/p>\n

In his address, Ernesto Muangala highlighted the advantages that the roads will bring to the free movement of people and goods, commercial exchanges and strengthen cultural, historical and socioeconomic relations with neighboring countries.<\/p>\n

In turn, the representative of the Angolan community in Solwezi, Mateus Kahaku, highlighted the governor’s initiative to consult resident Angolans, as well as requesting social support, agricultural inputs, means of transport for agricultural promotion.<\/p>\n

According to Mateus Kahaku, the local population is available to return to the country and contribute to its development, as long as they are guaranteed employability conditions, as the community has technical-professional personnel capable of filling the existing staff deficit.<\/p>\n

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Consulate General of Angola in Solwezi, northwestern province of Zambia.<\/p>\n
