Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan embassy in Spain hosted, over the weekend, the IV International Congress of the International Chamber of Writers and Artists (CIESART), with conferences and communications focusing on peace and women’s empowerment.<\/b><\/p>\n

The event was marked by the presentation of the new CIESART anthology dedicated entirely to women and their struggles for respect and equality, with a preface written by Ramon Nunez Duval.<\/p>\n

The program also included the presentation of Awards and the investiture of new Dr Honoris Causa in Literature and Philosophy, one of the most solemn moments of the day.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, the Press Counselor, Marlene Gomes, spoke about the strength of African women, especially Angolan women, highlighting the actions developed for gender equality and universal peace.<\/p>\n

Marlene Gomes highlighted the political commitment to gender equality, the empowerment of women and girls and the encouragement of cultural exchange.<\/p>\n

The official highlighted as a priority of the Angolan Executive and the Common Agenda \u2013 United Nations the promotion and defense of equality, emancipation, socio-economic process and eradication of violence, through peace and democracy.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by some of the authors of the anthology, namely the Global president, Lily Baylon, the president of CIESART Spain, Ana Benegas, the president of CIESART Portugal, Isilda Nunes, and the author of the painting that serves as the cover of the anthology .<\/p>\n

CIESART aims to contribute to the integration of international organizations and individuals, through global agreements to achieve peace with innovative proposals and elements that promote cultural policies in the world.<\/p>\n

The organization is present in 80 countries, with more than 17 thousand members and with three legal headquarters in Spain, Switzerland and Peru.<\/p>\n

Its associates are writers, artists, cultural promoters and personalities who carry out activities for these purposes and are called to achieve unity.<\/p>\n

It emphasizes the awarding of talent and perseverance, through the annual recognition of the \u201cMar de Cristal International Award\u201d in different categories.<\/p>\n

CIESART is a charitable and non-profit organization, with projects aimed at projecting shared responsibilities in social well-being.<\/p>\n
