{"id":51674,"date":"2023-12-13T16:25:36","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T16:25:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/government-studies-medication-subsidies"},"modified":"2023-12-13T17:54:46","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T17:54:46","slug":"government-studies-medication-subsidies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/government-studies-medication-subsidies","title":{"rendered":"Government studies medication subsidies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Angolan Government is preparing a study regarding the subsidy of medicines for the treatment of chronic non-communicable diseases, the Secretary of State for Public Health, Carlos Pinto de Sousa, announced this Tuesday.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the press, after the 5th Ordinary Meeting of the Committee for Social Policy of the Council of Ministers, led by the Minister of State for the Social Sector, Dalva Ringote, Carlos Pinto said that the quantification of these diseases and the financial burden for users.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the study also covers the definition of the price system and a financial model that is sustained and sustainable for the benefit of families, especially those most in need.<\/p>\n<p>He informed that the plan provides for the subsidy of medicines for the treatment of diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, sickle cell anemia and mental illnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Still in the Health sector and within the scope of the simplify 2.0 project, the meeting considered a draft Presidential Decree that establishes the rules and procedures on the licensing of pharmaceutical activities, to speed up the procedure for issuing authorization to carry out this activity , promote free initiative and entrepreneurship in the sector, thus improving the business environment in the country.<\/p>\n<p>In the field of Environment, the Committee for Social Policy assessed the draft Regulation on the Exercise of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas Exploration Activities in conservation areas, aiming to establish environmental standards applicable to this type of activities, in order to ensure that this exercise meets your specific needs and respects the environment.<\/p>\n<p>Along the same path, this body evaluated a second draft Regulation on Environmental Conservation Areas, which establishes the standards for the creation, classification, organization, management, sustainable use and supervision of the aforementioned areas, and, on the same occasion, an assessment was carried out preliminary draft of the Presidential Decree approving the Organic Statute of the National Institute of Environmental Management and recommending its improvement for further consideration within this Commission.<\/p>\n<p>For the Minister of the Environment, Ana Paula de Carvalho, these two \u201cimportant\u201d diplomas aim to regulate Law 8\/20 of April 16, since the country has 14 conservation areas and there is a need to carry out an impact study environment, before, during and at the end of each exploration activity.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee for Social Policy of the Council of Ministers was also informed about the status of implementation of the &#8220;Kwenda&#8221; Social Protection Strengthening Program, during the III Quarter of the current year.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding this matter, it was found that by the end of that period, the Kwenda Program covered 68 municipalities, in the country&#8217;s 18 provinces, 243 communes and 11 thousand and 415 neighborhoods\/villages, with an increase of over 970 neighborhoods and villages in compared to the previous quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The Program has so far registered, One Million 151 thousand and 662 households, having, in that period, made payments to 230 thousand and 220 new households, thus leaving an accumulated of 843 thousand and 468 households paid so far, which corresponds to 58.23 percent of the expected aggregates.<\/p>\n<p>The commission also assessed a Draft Legal Diploma that aims to include in the national legal system a legal instrument that regulates, in an objective manner, the technical criteria and procedures for the attribution of prizes in the fields of Science, Technology and Innovation.<\/p>\n<p>This award aims to promote excellence in scientific research and technological development, thus stimulating the production of scientific knowledge, creativity and innovation of Angolan scientific researchers, inventors and innovators in different areas of knowledge, as well as recognizing its contribution to the sustainable development of Angola.<\/p>\n<p><b>ANGOP<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
