Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The third edition of the children’s festival called “Nzoji ya monandengue” opened, Wednesday, in Luanda, at the Guimara\u0303es Rosa Institute, with the aim of helping to develop children’s mentality for protection against sexual abuse.<\/b><\/p>\n

This edition, which pays homage to the promoter and producer of children’s shows, Kim Freitas, will run until the 18th of this month at LAASP, with free entry, under the motto “Yes, inform and protect against sexual abuse in children”, in an organization of the Company de Artes Sol (CAS).<\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening of the event, the project director, Solange Feijo\u0301, said that they are holding this edition with the aim of helping to develop children’s mentality and contributing to their social, emotional and cognitive improvements, believing that in this way they will be supporting society by bringing educated children with values.<\/p>\n

He reinforced that along with sport, the arts can instill in human beings their real value, self-love, patriotism and responsibility, to avoid evils such as early pregnancy, delinquency, prostitution, among others.<\/p>\n

He said that this year 230 children were registered and will present, during the days of the festival, children’s content such as theater, poetry, dance, painting and music.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that they will distinguish children in the categories of best, dance, theater, poetry, painting and music.<\/p>\n

He explained that the tribute to Kim Freitas is justified by his contribution to the production of children’s content.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, Kim Freitas said he was grateful for the recognition, as the festival has a national dimension, which will also bring with it an act of raising awareness against sexual abuse of minors.<\/p>\n

He argued that this awareness-raising act should be extended to schools, churches and families, where each participant could alert children about the precautions to be taken to avoid situations of this kind.<\/p>\n

He called on the country’s social media to increase content for children, so that they can have the basis to defend themselves.<\/p>\n
