{"id":51804,"date":"2023-12-15T16:06:23","date_gmt":"2023-12-15T16:06:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/?p=51804"},"modified":"2023-12-15T14:34:55","modified_gmt":"2023-12-15T14:34:55","slug":"ceeac-cm-analyzes-situation-in-gabon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/ceeac-cm-analyzes-situation-in-gabon","title":{"rendered":"CEEAC CM analyzes situation in Gabon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Council of Ministers of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC) is analyzing, this Thursday, in Djibloho, Equatorial Guinea, the facilitator&#8217;s interim report on the transition process in Gabon.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Under discussion is also compliance with the recommendations of the President of the Commission regarding the implementation of the decision to temporarily relocate the community headquarters from Libreville to Malabo.<\/p>\n<p>The council, which is attended by 10 of the 11 ministers from the organization&#8217;s member states, takes place within the framework of the Central African Peace and Security Council (COPAX) on the political transition in Gabon.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting of ministers precedes the V Summit of Heads of State and Government to take place on Friday, with the presence of the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o.<\/p>\n<p>During the opening of the meeting, the Minister of Regional Integration of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and acting president of the ECCAS Council of Ministers, Lucas Ntchama, highlighted the need to support the transition process in Gabon, as a way of putting an end to the crisis reigning policy after the coup d&#8217;e\u0301tat in August of this year.<\/p>\n<p>Lucas Ntchama mentioned that over the last three months the mediator appointed by CEEAC, the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin Archange Touadera, had maintained contacts with the Gabonese authorities and various civil society actors, as part of the effort for the return normality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMember States have an obligation to support the transition process in Gabon, as we must remember this country\u2019s efforts in processes to promote peace in the region,\u201d said Lucas Ntchama.<\/p>\n<p>Angola is present with a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio, and integrated, among others, by the ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, Jose\u0301 Lui\u0301s de Matos.<\/p>\n<p>To end the political crisis in Gabon, CEEAC developed a roadmap to serve as a guiding compass for the mediator to apply the measures taken by the organization.<\/p>\n<p>The CEEAC is made up of Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Rwanda, Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe and the Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
