Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Secretary of State for Commerce, Amadeu Nunes, considered, in Luanda, that the adequate implementation of the measures provided for in the National Trade Facilitation Roadmap will significantly improve the business environment and new employment opportunities in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Trade Facilitation Roadmap is a document that brings a set of political and strategic measures to be adapted to simplify and speed up processes related to international trade, to reduce obstacles and bureaucracy, as well as make it easier, more efficient and faster to trade. movement of goods.<\/p>\n

According to the person responsible, who was speaking at the presentation of the National Trade Facilitation Roadmap, the document will provide for the improvement of the living conditions of the populations, in alignment with the goals established in the National Development Plan (PDN) 2023-2027.<\/p>\n

He explained that the roadmap will need more contributions, so it is open and in line with the NDP, drawn up under the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation agreement.<\/p>\n

The document, he highlighted, will allow the creation of measures to facilitate trade, such as digitalization, an easier mechanism for greater transparency in the way of acting with international trading partners.<\/p>\n

Amadeu Nunes recommended, for Angola’s commercial policy, greater cooperation with neighboring countries, in terms of trade facilitation, such as coordinated border management.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis leads to a reflection on the need to work together, in order to find the right balance for the illegal migration policy binomial, without, however, creating non-tariff measures that could obstruct cross-border trade\u201d, he asserted.<\/p>\n

In Angola, he pointed out, the National Trade Facilitation Committee was created, which aims to maintain collaboration between border agencies, despite the fact that some activities fall under the exclusive competence of the General Tax Administration (AGT).<\/p>\n

The committee, made up of multi-sector managers, public and private companies, aims to study, negotiate and take measures that facilitate trade in Angola.<\/p>\n
