Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC) decided, on Friday, in Djibloho, Equatorial Guinea, to maintain Gabon’s suspension of all activities of the Organization and the African Union, until the restoration of constitutional order in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

A decision is contained in the final communique\u0301 of the 5th Extraordinary Session of the Heads of State and Government, concluded yesterday, within the framework of the Peace and Security Council of Central Africa (COPAX), in which Angola was represented by the President of Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, who, in the meantime, returned to Luanda yesterday.<\/p>\n

O document, read by the president of the CEEAC Commission, the Angolan Gilberto Veri\u0301ssimo, states that the Conference urged political actors, socio-economic issues and the Gabonese people, in general, to maintain a climate of peace and security that reigns throughout the territory.<\/p>\n

“Despite taking into account the peaceful and inclusive nature of the transition underway in Republic of Gabon and the need to accompany the country to return to order constitutional, the Conference decided to maintain the suspension\u201d of the country, says the text.<\/p>\n

You Heads of State and Government also decided to suspend travel temporary ECCAS headquarters from Libreville to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, until new orders. The document justifies the application of the measure with the evolution positive and encouraging current political and security situation in the Republic from Gabon.<\/p>\n

To the transitional authorities were encouraged to continually ensure the security conditions for the President and members of the CEEAC Commission and the Community personnel on Gabonese territory, as well as ensuring the independence and autonomy of the Commission, in all circumstances.<\/p>\n

A Conference urged transitional authorities to maintain support for facilitator of CEEAC to continue the mission, leaving free access to all sociopolitical, economic and civil society actors in Gabon. Encourages, also, the authorities to maintain the spirit of inclusion throughout the period transition, promoting the participation of the country’s essential actors.<\/p>\n

You Heads of State and Government decided to establish, in this sense, a Financing mechanism for CEEAC facilitation activities, based in a special contribution from member countries, urging them to do everything for the implementation of solidarity.<\/p>\n

O document, initialed by the acting president of CEEAC, Obiang Nguema, and by Ambassador Gilberto Veri\u0301ssimo, reiterates the concern of the Heads of State and Government of the organization due to the health status of the deposed President, Ali Bongo Ondimba, as well as the family’s conditions.<\/p>\n

How much to the Constitutional Referendum in the Republic of Chad and the General Elections in the DRC, scheduled for this month, the Conference urged political actors and forces cheers from both member countries working towards the development of the process, in order to guarantee stability and the rooting of democracy in the region.<\/p>\n

Changes unconstitutional represents a setback<\/p>\n

O President of the Economic Community of Central African States (EEACS), Obiang Nguema, considered, yesterday, at the opening of the 5th Extraordinary Session of Heads of State and Government, unconstitutional changes, increasingly frequent in Africa, a real setback in legally binding political processes constituted, which reflect the will of the people.<\/p>\n

Underlined that the growing tendency of hostilities and attempts to destabilize the constitutional order on the continent must be avoided at all costs.<\/p>\n

O Head of State of Equatorial Guinea said that when addressing peace and security in depth and based on ECCAS and Union regulations African region, it is possible to successfully stop this type of scourge, preventing it from put at risk the efforts to progress and consecrate democracy and universal rights in countries.<\/p>\n

O acting president of CEEAC considered the presence of his counterparts, on the 5th Djibloho Summit, in a short space of time, a “symbol of solidarity African countries and a demonstration of the importance they attach to resolving crises policies in Central Africa\u201d.<\/p>\n

Obiang Nguema said that the Economic Community of Central African States is experiencing a crucial moment, which puts your credibility at stake.<\/p>\n

At following the ECCAS reforms three years ago, the implementation of which is still continues, the leader of the organization defends joint actions aimed at promoting a future of common prosperity, in an environment of peace, security and stability, in order to guarantee sustainable development, within the framework of governance aimed at improving citizens\u2019 living conditions.<\/p>\n

“It’s up to us demonstrate that the Organization has effectively evolved and that we are capable of consolidate institutional reforms, to root democracy in our community space,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

After to congratulate the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin Touade\u0300ra, on as a facilitator of the political transition in Gabon, Obiang Nguema urged him to work with local authorities and stakeholders to achieve reestablishment of constitutional order, in accordance with the roadmap pre-defined by the parties, so that they can resume their place in the ECCAS.<\/p>\n

“The Gabon is a sister country with a long tradition of political dialogue, a fact that encourages us to reinforce community action to help the authorities and the people in the period of political transition\u201d, highlighted Obiang Nguema.<\/p>\n

A peace and security are essential elements for economic development and social status of countries and are intrinsically linked to tranquility and harmony who must reign among the nations, for the normal “development of the peoples\u201d, highlighted the acting president of CEEAC.<\/p>\n

Support from the International Community<\/p>\n

At occasion, the Head of State of Equatorial Guinea appealed to the Community International to reinforce support for the Gabonese people, towards a national dialogue inclusive, essential for political and social cohesion, within the scope of efforts to peace and security developed by CEEAC.<\/p>\n

Second President Nguema, the decision to temporarily go to the CEEAC headquarters and some of the employees, from Libreville (Gabon) to Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), aims to ensure the protection of the Community executive against any criticism, influence or interference in the political environment linked to the transition in course in Gabon.<\/p>\n

“We must ensure that the ECCAS Commission can carry out an objective analysis of the situation, in order to allow the provisions to be adopted to contribute to the preservation of lasting stability in the region\u201d, he reiterated.<\/p>\n
