{"id":51865,"date":"2023-12-16T16:58:19","date_gmt":"2023-12-16T16:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/statesmen-maintain-suspension-of-gabon-until-constitutional-order-is-restored"},"modified":"2023-12-16T17:32:35","modified_gmt":"2023-12-16T17:32:35","slug":"statesmen-maintain-suspension-of-gabon-until-constitutional-order-is-restored","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/statesmen-maintain-suspension-of-gabon-until-constitutional-order-is-restored","title":{"rendered":"Statesmen maintain suspension of Gabon until constitutional order is restored"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC) decided, on Friday, in Djibloho, Equatorial Guinea, to maintain Gabon&#8217;s suspension of all activities of the Organization and the African Union, until the restoration of constitutional order in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>A decision is contained in the final communique\u0301 of the 5th Extraordinary Session of the Heads of State and Government, concluded yesterday, within the framework of the Peace and Security Council of Central Africa (COPAX), in which Angola was represented by the President of Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, who, in the meantime, returned to Luanda yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>O document, read by the president of the CEEAC Commission, the Angolan Gilberto Veri\u0301ssimo, states that the Conference urged political actors, socio-economic issues and the Gabonese people, in general, to maintain a climate of peace and security that reigns throughout the territory.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Despite taking into account the peaceful and inclusive nature of the transition underway in Republic of Gabon and the need to accompany the country to return to order constitutional, the Conference decided to maintain the suspension\u201d of the country, says the text.<\/p>\n<p>You Heads of State and Government also decided to suspend travel temporary ECCAS headquarters from Libreville to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, until new orders.
