Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Musician and composer Carlos Lamartine considered, this Friday, in Cacuaco (Luanda), that regardless of the self-sustainability of each artist or institution, culture in the country needs more financial investments from the State to prevail.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Carlos Lamartine, who spoke during the public presentation of the Cacuaco Cultural Center, intended for culture and scientific research, reopened in November this year by the governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem, there is a need for greater investment in culture and research, to that they can have value and a place of merit and thus culminate in national and international recognition.<\/p>\n

For the artist, the recently opened Cacuaco Cultural Center is a heritage and reconciliation that will bring positive responses to art and beyond, which is why he calls on young people to take care of it to also serve future generations.<\/p>\n

The institution was created for young people to develop actions aimed at cultural integration in terms of artistic creations, such as singing, dancing, theater, among others.<\/p>\n

For his part, the municipal administrator of Cacuaco, Auzi\u0301lio Jacob, highlighted that the center offers quality for the development of actions that increase citizens’ literacy and knowledge capacity through a computer laboratory, library with capacity for eight a thousand physical books and various courses.<\/p>\n

Auzi\u0301lio Jacob made it known that the computer laboratory, connected to seven Universities in different countries, namely Italy, Brussels, Milan, Brazil (Sa\u0303o Paulo), South Africa and Cuba, will allow access to tools for scientific research.<\/p>\n

Under the management of the association \u201cMovimento Nacional Angola Real (MNAAR), the infrastructure consists of an auditorium with capacity for 220 people, a library and 28 computers connected to the Internet.<\/p>\n

Its rehabilitation cost 242,939,564.98 kwanzas and took place after 15 years of interruption.<\/p>\n

According to the vice-president of the Real Angola National Movement (MNAAR), Mateus Sebastia\u0303o, the new cultural center was handed over to management with a new dimension from another perspective, which is scientific, which does not cancel out the cultural component.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will continue to create this new marriage between science and culture, our culture needs more investigative support and this will be the path from a cultural perspective\u201d, he concluded.<\/p>\n

The residents of Nova Urbanizac\u0327a\u0303o, in the Urban District of Cacuaco, where the center is located, expressed their satisfaction and guarantee to take care of it.<\/p>\n

The space will also be used for lectures, workshops and conferences and for training in entrepreneurship, with emphasis on cooking, pastry, decoration and IT.<\/p>\n
