Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The “Generation that Reads” project, developed by the Brigada Jovem de Literatura (BJLA), benefited 1,500 readers in the four municipalities of the province of Lunda Sul, this year.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the president of the BJLA in Lunda Sul, He\u0301lio Sangula, in the city of Saurimo, as a result of his work, the local government delivered to the Brigade computer equipment, books and records that portray the life and work of Agostinho Neto, as part of his centenary. He\u0301lio Sangula said that the year was also marked by the holding of the freedom bonfire, bringing together more than a hundred students, with a poetry recital, trova and the launch of works, with emphasis on that of Agostinho Neto.<\/p>\n

Another notable note was the participation of 50 young people on the literature course, with the aim of galvanizing reading lovers.<\/p>\n

Regarding the difficulties of this year, he mentioned the lack of a means of transport to reach the most remote areas of the province, of spaces for literary training and the lack of funds.<\/p>\n

He\u0301lio Sangula highlighted as a priority the launch of a poetic anthology, for the literary promotion of new offspring, the holding of a festival and generational meeting between writers, as well as the regional literature conference of the east (Lunda-Norte, Lunda Sul and Moxico) and literary workshops.<\/p>\n

The BJLA in Lunda Sul was created on May 21, 2021 and has 30 members.<\/p>\n
