Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Israel’s ambassador to Angola, Shimon Solomon, stated Wednesday, in Lubango, that his country counts on Angola, as a \u201cpartner\u201d, to fight against terrorism, as it appears to be a danger to the world .<\/b><\/p>\n

The diplomat, who was speaking as part of a two-day visit to Hui\u0301la, after a meeting with vice-governor Maria Joa\u0303o Chipalavela, declared that his country is experiencing \u201cvery tight\u201d security, which is why he is looking for partners from countries that seek peace.<\/p>\n

Shimon Solomon pointed out that this is why they mobilize new partners, of which Angola is a part, to show that they are against terrorism.<\/p>\n

He recalled that terrorism is not good, as is the case in Democratic Congo, Mozambique, or Sudan, where recently more than 800 Christians were killed and no one spoke about the subject, considering that terrorist organizations that are \u201cinvading\u201d the world more and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor this reason we are seeking help and support from all our partners, so that we can let the world know that terrorism helps no one. We respect the Palestinian people, but Hamas does not represent the Palestinian population, we also want Palestine to have its rights, but Hamas is hindering this process,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

He said that the relationship between Angola and Israel is not new, it began before the latter’s Independence, which is why his country values \u200b\u200bthis cooperation and as proof he pointed out the fact that Israel has only 12 embassies in Africa, one of them in Angola, in a universe of 54 countries.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of bilateral relations between Angola and Israel, they already cooperate in the areas of humanitarianism, agriculture, health, education, aviation, construction, fisheries, diamonds, security and telecommunications.<\/p>\n
