Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Two Namibian citizens aged 27 and 39, who died after drowning, were rescued this Saturday from the Cubango River, in the municipality of Cuangar, more than 300 kilometers from the city of Menongue, capital of Cuando Cubango.<\/b><\/p>\n

To locate the bodies and rescue, personnel from the Cuangar Civil Protection and Fire Command, on the Angolan side, and others on the Namibian side, worked in coordination.<\/p>\n

The spokesman for the Civil Protection and Fire Command in Cuando Cubango, Albano Cutarica, told this Sunday that according to information from family members, the victims were last seen on the 28th of this month, when they were trying to cross the Cubango River.<\/p>\n

He stated that the bodies have already been handed over to the Namibian police (NAMOPL).<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he made it known that firefighters on duty at the I Escala\u0303o Barracks, in Menongue, today helped a 10-month-old child, victim of electrocution, in the Futungo neighborhood, and was promptly revived.<\/p>\n

The case happened when the mother was carrying out domestic work at home, and the children walked towards a tangle of electrical wires connected to the power supply.<\/p>\n
