Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Foreign Affairs, T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio, said, this Sunday (27), in Luanda, during the preparatory work for TICAD-8, that the Angolan State \u201cstrongly believes that dialogue is the best way to achieve peace and stability at a global level, based on respect for the Constitution of each State\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

At the ministerial meeting, which took place by videoconference, the head of Angolan Diplomacy added that, in order to build peace and sustainable stability in Africa, African leaders need to take into account several factors, of which the “Respect for the Constitution of each State\u201d, the \u201cConsolidation of Democracy\u201d, the \u201cFight against Corruption and Nepotism\u201d, and other evils that negatively affect the economic growth of States.<\/p>\n

He referred that Angola, through the Luanda Biennale, signed its commitment to contribute to the promotion of a culture of peace in the African continent, and expressed its willingness to help achieve the goals outlined by African leaders.<\/p>\n

Minister T\u00e9te Ant\u00f3nio highlighted that, in this path, there is also good governance for the establishment of the social well-being of the population. The official took the opportunity to thank the Government of Japan for the support it has provided to the African continent, through the COVAX initiative, having praised the joint efforts of the African Union and Japan, which, through this platform of open and inclusive, have contributed to the socio-economic development of the cradle continent. According to the Mirex note, the TICAD-8 ministerial meeting will take place from the 27th to the 28th of August in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. On 16 July 2020, the Government of Japan announced that the Republic of Tunisia would host the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), to be held in 2022.<\/p>\n

The Government of the Republic of Tunisia and the co-organizers of TICAD, UNOSAA, UNDP, the African Union Commission (AUC), World Bank and the Government of Japan express their strong commitment to the TICAD process for building a prosperous future and pacific of the African continent.<\/p>\n

This will be the second TICAD high-level summit to be held in Africa since Kenya hosted TICAD-6 in Nairobi in August 2016. Africa is the continent with unlimited potential for economic, social and human development , undergoing a significant transformation in line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the United Nations’ Agenda 2030, exalts the content of the note.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Africa, like every other continent on the globe, is currently facing a serious human security crisis due to COVID-19, which threatens the entire spectrum of people’s lives, their survival, livelihood and dignity. .<\/p>\n
