Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The second commander of the Central Military Region, which covers the provinces of Huambo, Bie\u0301, Benguela and Cuanza-Sul, appealed, on Friday, to the military to adopt responsible conduct, with a view to dignifying the good name of the Armed Forces Angolans.<\/b><\/p>\n

General Sapalo Baptista, who spoke during the end-of-year greeting ceremony, which took place at the General Headquarters, said that during the year several programs were dedicated to military patriotic, legal, civic, moral and health education, as well as creation of better troop quartering conditions.<\/p>\n

For the new year, the person in charge plans to improve the quality of life of personnel, from diet to working conditions, granting disciplinary leaves, making family correspondence more dynamic, in order to keep soldiers more motivated.<\/p>\n

During the end-of-year greeting ceremony, the second commander envisaged that in 2024 the Central Military Region will continue to make its contribution, with active participation in all tasks that guarantee territorial integrity.<\/p>\n

In turn, Brigadier Anto\u0301nio Ribeiro, deputy commander for the area of \u200b\u200bPatriotic Education, on behalf of all soldiers, expressed the readiness of the personnel to do their best so that the complex, but honorable missions guided by superiors, are crowned with success.<\/p>\n

The general officer revealed that, despite several difficulties in the year just ending, steps were taken in implementing the program to rebuild units and subunits in several provinces of the Central Military Region, the results of which are satisfactory.<\/p>\n

The FAA will continue to collaborate in the fight against the greatest endemic diseases of the century, in the fight against false news spread on social media and guarantee the maintenance of peace, he said.<\/p>\n

Scrupulous respect for the principles of military discipline and hierarchy, the culture of patriotic values, the reinforcement of the non-partisan character of the FAA, are other elements that will be guaranteed within the region’s military, he added.<\/p>\n
