Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of Cuando Cubango, Jose\u0301 Martins, highlighted this Tuesday, in the city of Menongue, the rehabilitation of national roads 280 and 180, which connect the municipalities of Mavinga and Rivungo.<\/b><\/p>\n

The rehabilitation was authorized by the Holder of Executive Power, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, in Presidential Decree no 94\/23, made public last December.<\/p>\n

In the specific case of roads, the Head of State delegates powers to the Minister of Public Works, Urban Planning and Housing, with the power to sub-delegate for the practice of all decision-making and supervisory approval acts, including the preparation of procedural documents, the conclusion and signing of contracts.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the New Year’s greetings ceremony, Jose\u0301 Martins highlighted that the project consists of a set of infrastructures that will add great value to the province, not only in terms of roads, but also in the area of \u200b\u200bhousing.<\/p>\n

The major structuring projects, approved in 2023, also include the production, distribution and home connection of electricity, drinking water, among others, already included in the General State Budget (OGE) for the 2024 economic year.<\/p>\n

PIIM with 13 completed projects<\/p>\n

In the field of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), of the total of 76 projects, budgeted at 36 billion kwanzas, the governor said that 13 have been completed and are already benefiting the populations, with emphasis on the increase in classes and vocational training centers.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the increase in classrooms has gradually made it possible to meet demand and include more children in the education system.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that, in the last public competition, 236 new teachers were admitted to reinforce the staff, in addition to the four thousand and 542 already existing ones, as well as 648 administrative ones, which ensure the operation of 185 schools, equivalent to one thousand, 847 classrooms .<\/p>\n

In the 2023\/2024 academic year, 165 thousand and 235 students were enrolled, representing an increase of five thousand and 235 in relation to the same previous period.<\/p>\n

The governor also highlighted the joint effort with the Ministry of Education, which made it possible to equip the Comandante Hoje-Ya-Henda second cycle school with physics, chemistry and biology laboratories.<\/p>\n

In health, he reported, investments were made in all municipalities, with a view to improving health services, highlighting the return to operation of the oxygen factory, the TAC and others, avoiding the transfer of patients to other health units outside the province.<\/p>\n

“Mama\u0303 pega” project empowers families<\/p>\n

Among the various programs underway, within the framework of improving the purchasing power and resilience of families, the local initiative program called “Mama\u0303 pega” stands out.<\/p>\n

The same has already benefited more than 190 women, with the allocation of various cooking, cutting and sewing kits, monetary values, three-wheel motorbikes and others, in the municipalities of Nancova, Cuangar, Menongue, Cuchi and Cuito Cuanavale, Governor<\/p>\n

highlights the unit as anchor of success<\/p>\n

On another note, Jose\u0301 Martins stated that the secret of success lies in unity, highlighting the need and importance of unity in thought and action to achieve good results at work.<\/p>\n

He appealed to community and religious leaders, social activists and the population in general, to join forces and expand the range of collaboration, in order to guarantee the tranquility and success of families.<\/p>\n
