Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Four foreign citizens of different nationalities were, on Tuesday, detained by the National Police (PN), in the municipality of Nzeto, Zaire province, when they intended to reach the country’s capital, Luanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

These are two citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), one from Congo Brazzaville and the other from Guinea Conakry.<\/p>\n

According to the spokesperson for the Zaire Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of the Interior, Se\u0301rgio Afonso, the aforementioned immigrants, coming from the municipality of Soyo (Zaire), were being escorted by a national citizen who charged 200 thousand kwanzas per person, to transport them to the Angolan capital.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were traveling on a tourist trip and placed near a police station, the supposed guide abandoned them and ran away\u201d, explained the spokesperson.<\/p>\n

Se\u0301rgio Afonso said that the detention of these foreigners, in an irregular migration situation, had the collaboration of local people, who reported to the authorities the presence of \u201cstrange people\u201d in the forests of that district.<\/p>\n

He informed that law enforcement and security forces are taking steps to capture the guide who is on the run.<\/p>\n

The municipality of Nzeto, bordering the province of Bengo, is 230 kilometers from the city of Mbanza Kongo, capital of the province of Zaire.<\/p>\n
