Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Fourteen million Kwanzas is the amount collected by the Provincial Directorate of the National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Safety (ANIESA) of Lunda Sul in 2023, deposited in the Single Treasury Account (CUT), revealed Wednesday, in Saurimo , its responsible, Da\u0301rio Jose\u0301.<\/b><\/p>\n

The person responsible said that the amount is the result of fines applied to economic agents, who, during the 2023 financial year, disobeyed commercial standards and the law.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the perpetrators were able to seize several products, notably three thousand and two hundred bags of corn flour, in poor condition, pharmaceuticals, masonry materials, dairy products, among others, whose products are valued at Kz two million.<\/p>\n

He said that during the inspection carried out it was possible to register 15 criminal cases, culminating in the arrest of eight citizens of different nationalities, for disobedience, product adulteration, price speculation, hoarding and opening a business without prior authorization.<\/p>\n

Da\u0301rio Jose\u0301 also made it known that, in the field of inspection and supervision, ANIESA carried out 197 inspection visits to 227 commercial establishments, received 30 complaints and carried out more than 300 awareness-raising actions among consumers and businesspeople.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he pointed out the prospects for the year 2024 to train staff, continue with the process and reinforce inspection, to mitigate cases of price speculation and guarantee confidence and security in the quality of life for consumers.<\/p>\n

ANIESA in Lunda Sul controls 100 inspectors, distributed across the four municipalities of Saurimo, Cacolo, Dala and Muconda.<\/p>\n

The National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Safety was introduced in Lunda Sul in November 2022 and is the only national entity in charge of supervising and inspecting commercial establishments, in light of the legislation and regulations that govern the country’s economic activity.<\/p>\n
