Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The second secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee, Nelo de Carvalho, reiterated today the reinforcement of unity and cohesion within the OMA militants, aiming to strengthen them, given the political challenges that the current context imposes.<\/b><\/p>\n

The politician made this appeal at the event commemorating the 62nd anniversary of the MPLA women’s organization, which is celebrated having highlighted that the union constitutes an ideal of the party and involves mobilizing more militants.<\/p>\n

However, he recognized the role that the OMA played in the achievements of the country and the province of Malanje in particular, whose spirit of unity must continue to guide.<\/p>\n

He made it known that the OMA in the province of Malanje is carrying out excellent work, especially in the fight against illiteracy, with the creation of literacy rooms and community jangos for the inclusion of women.<\/p>\n

In turn, the second provincial secretary of OMA, Suzana Gaspar said that the organization will continue to encourage women members and beyond to undertake business to generate income and minimize the social problems that afflict families.<\/p>\n

Along this path, he explained that campaigns have been carried out to raise awareness among women to join academic and professional training, with a view to training themselves to create self-employment.<\/p>\n

OMA was founded in 1962, with the objectives of mobilizing, organizing and educating women to realize the MPLA’s political ideals.<\/p>\n

The celebrations of the organization’s day, which take place under the motto \u201cAngolan Woman, committed to the socio-economic development of the country\u201d were marked with the laying of a wreath today at the tomb of the unknown soldier, in honor of the deceased activists.<\/p>\n
