Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The new commander of the Northern Air Region, Lieutenant General Casimiro Tati Franque, reaffirmed, this Wednesday, in the city of Cabinda, his commitment to working towards the defense of the homeland.<\/b><\/p>\n

The general officer, who was speaking at the presentation to members of the Provincial Government of Cabinda and those responsible for defense and security bodies, called for the dedication, commitment and unity of personnel in carrying out the mission.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am taking command at a special moment of transformation for the Angolan Armed Forces. The challenges are enormous, but with in-depth work at the unit level, the mission will be accomplished responsibly\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the commander of the National Air Force, Lieutenant General Virgi\u0301lio Anto\u0301nio Pinto, highlighted the importance of the branch in defending national airspace.<\/p>\n

He recalled that the Northern Air Region covers 10 provinces, therefore defending greater responsibility and readiness of personnel.<\/p>\n

In turn, the vice-governor of Cabinda for the technical sector, Agostinho da Silva, expressed the willingness of the provincial government to continue working with the command of the Northern Air Region to safeguard national airspace.<\/p>\n

The Northern Air Region includes the provinces of Luanda, Bengo, Ui\u0301ge, Zaire, Cabinda, Malange, Cuanza-Norte, Lunda-Norte, Lunda-Sul and Moxico.<\/p>\n
