Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The deputy governor of Zaire for the political, social and economic sector, Afonso Nzolameso, denounced, on Wednesday, in Mbanza Kongo, the schemes used by alleged networks to introduce illegal immigrants from the Democratic Republic into the country from Congo.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the official, it all starts in the Central Congo region (DRC) or in the capital, Kinshasa, where people interested in migrating to Angola are contacted and selected by criminal networks that assist and promote illegal immigration.<\/p>\n

Posts in the border area, on the DRC side, according to the vice-governor who spoke at the opening of the 1st Consultative Council of the Zaire Provincial Command of the National Police, foreigners are confined in rented residences, where they wait for any sign of supposed Angolan citizens for its infiltration into the national territory, in exchange for money.<\/p>\n

Afonso Nzolameso explained that groups of illegal immigrants enter the country through clandestine routes that are difficult to access and control, also known as \u201cfiote paths\u201d.<\/p>\n

In this regard, the deputy governor called on the competent bodies to redouble their vigilance along the 310 kilometers of border that the province of Zaire shares with the DRC.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the Executive, concerned about these and other criminal practices, is working on the modernization of justice services, which includes the computerization of courts, thus ensuring the optimization of justice and speeding up proceedings.<\/p>\n

In this way, he called on the bodies that intervene in the administration of justice to act in coordination and in a timely manner, under penalty of their action losing the desired effect.<\/p>\n

The meeting, which, among other issues, addresses the fight against fuel smuggling and illegal immigration, is being chaired by the Zaire provincial commander of the National Police, Commissioner Firmino Uyamba.<\/p>\n
