Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, is already in the city of Huambo, a province with the same name, where he will inaugurate social impact infrastructures.<\/b><\/p>\n

At Albano Machado Airport, the Head of State, accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenc\u0327o, was received by the provincial governor, Lotti Nolika, and the local population.<\/p>\n

According to the visit program, upon arrival, the Holder of the Executive Branch will meet with members of the government of the province of Huambo.<\/p>\n

At this meeting, Governor Lotti Nolika will present the social and economic situation of this region of the central plateau.<\/p>\n

President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o will inaugurate infrastructures linked to the health, media, public administration, labor and social security and culture sectors.<\/p>\n

The Head of State’s agenda also includes visits to the Agricultural Fair taking place at the Serra Van-Du\u0301nem Multipurpose Pavilion, and to Missa\u0303o do Dondi, in the municipality of Catchiungo.<\/p>\n

President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o was last in the province of Huambo in March 2022, where he opened the Judicial Year.<\/p>\n

With more than one million inhabitants, the province of Huambo has 11 municipalities, namely Huambo, Bailundo, Ekunha, Ca\u0301ala, Catchiungo Londuimbale, Longonjo, Mungo, Tchicala Tcholoanga, Tchindjenje and Ucuma.<\/p>\n

The city of Huambo is a hub of economic, industrial and agricultural development and a center of excellence in the academic field, particularly in the area of \u200b\u200bagricultural and veterinary research.<\/p>\n

Huambo is also a region rich in natural and mineral resources, with a vast hydrographic network and a mild climate that make it especially suited to the development of agricultural and agri-food activities.<\/p>\n

The President of the Republic’s return to Luanda is scheduled for Saturday.<\/p>\n
