Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), Manuel Anto\u0301nio Dias, urged commercial banks Friday, in Lubango, to serve as catalysts for investment, to develop the country’s economy.<\/b><\/p>\n

The governor, who was speaking during a meeting with the governor of Hui\u0301la, Nuno Mahapi, stated that commercial banks have the task of participating in programs implemented by the Executive and increasingly investing in the productive sector to grow the country’s economy.<\/p>\n

He declared that there are many opportunities and potential in Hui\u0301la that commercial banks can take advantage of, as it is also their role to encourage the growth of the national economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere conditions exist for access, energy or telecommunications, commercial banks will be fully available to provide the support that will be necessary for the development of economic activities\u201d, he continued.<\/p>\n

Manuel Anto\u0301nio Dias highlighted that he took note of the banking activity carried out by commercial banks at provincial level, which is positive.<\/p>\n

He made it known that the trip to Hui\u0301la takes place as part of visits to the institution’s regional delegations, since the beginning of the year, as it is an opportunity to align with the 2023-2028 strategic plan.<\/p>\n

In turn, the governor of Hui\u0301la, Nuno Mahapi, said that the province has the conditions to do big business, so that the Angolan economy continues to grow, defending more investments in the population, as that is where they will get the answers that the country expects.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe productive sector is the strongest we have, but it is also the one in which we have to fight to place more bets, not only on man, but on primary investments and we believe that the Executive is not outside this concern\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The National Bank of Angola has seven regional delegations across the country, namely in the South (Hui\u0301la, Namibe and Cunene), the Northwest (Ui\u0301ge and Zaire), the East (Moxico, Luanda-Sul and Lunda-Norte), the Southeast (Cabinda , Cuando-Cubango), Center (Huambo and Bie\u0301) and Northeast (Malanje and Cuanza Norte) and West (Benguela and Cuanza Sul).<\/p>\n
