Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The second secretary of the MPLA in Huambo province, Ade\u0301rito Chimuco, reiterated, this Saturday, in the municipality of Bailundo, the party’s commitment to working to improve the population’s living conditions. <\/b><\/p>\n

The supporter, who spoke at the event that marked the end of the activities of the 62nd anniversary of the OMA, celebrated on the 10th of this month, recalled that, to this end, the party has been working on the construction of infrastructures with a social impact, with emphasis on for the health and education sectors.<\/p>\n

The politician also highlighted, among several actions, access to fertilizers, to promote family farming, the implementation of the Monetary Social Transfer Program (Kwenda) which has already covered more than 62 vulnerable families, in the commune of Bimbi, in the municipality of Bailundo.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Ade\u0301rito Chimuco recognized the achievements of the OMA, which include the mobilization of new militants to strengthen the party’s ranks in the 11 municipalities, the organization and education of women and men, as well as the fight for the consolidation of national independence.<\/p>\n

According to the supporter, after this task, which cost the lives of many Angolans, the MPLA women’s organization has stood out in actions aimed at maintaining and preserving peace and national reconciliation, in addition to the fight for emancipation and gender equality, which include access to academic and technical-professional training for women.<\/p>\n

However, he emphasized that 62 years later, the Angolan Women’s Organization remains firm, dedicated and engaged in the challenges of development, modernization and construction of a better Angola, for all its children.<\/p>\n

For her part, the provincial secretary of OMA in Huambo, Celina Ana Manuel Luvindja, assured that the organization has demonstrated that it is an active member of Angolan society, since the period of the armed struggle against colonialism, the struggle to defend national independence.<\/p>\n

He said that the OMA has also contributed to the conservation of values \u200b\u200bthat dignify women in raising children, managing the family and making a valuable contribution to the maintenance and conservation of peace and national unity.<\/p>\n

He praised the work carried out at the level of the province’s 11 municipalities, encouraging municipal and communal secretaries and section coordinators to continue to expand OMA’s actions throughout the territory of the province of Huambo.<\/p>\n

He called on activists at various levels to equally embrace the fight against domestic violence, the sexual abuse of minors and against illiteracy, which are lines defended by the OMA.<\/p>\n

He stated that the motto of the OMA’s 62nd anniversary, \u201cAngolan Woman, Committed to the Country’s Socioeconomic Development\u201d, leads to reflection on the need to carry out continuous work, which leads women to overcome their challenges.<\/p>\n
