Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The deputy inspector general of the State Administration for the area of \u200b\u200breporting, grievances and complaints, Ezequiel Correia Gomes, stated, this Tuesday, in Mbanza Kongo, that Zaire is the second province in the country with satisfactory results in the fight against corruption, after Luanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

The person in charge made this statement when presenting the new IGAE delegate, Anto\u0301nio David Lemos, to members of the Provincial Government of Zaire.<\/p>\n

Without providing statistical data, Ezequiel Correia Gomes said that Zaire, among the 18 provinces, after Luanda, has stood out in producing positive results in combating this phenomenon.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the level of the 18 provinces, Zaire is the most sensitive platform in the fight against corruption, after Luanda, as a result of its own existential reality and the results it has achieved\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n

He recognized the efforts of the Government of the Province of Zaire, headed by Governor Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, in the fight against this evil, the results of which make the sector and other bodies at central level proud.<\/p>\n

He asked that each citizen be an active agent in the fight against corruption, as it is a \u201ccancer\u201d that corrodes the national economy.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the new IGAE delegate, Anto\u0301nio David Lemos, who replaces Benigno da Costa who headed the institution for six months, promised to continue the work started by his predecessor.<\/p>\n

He added that during his mandate he will comply with and enforce the Law and regulations that govern Public Administration so that, in an effective way, collective interests can be materialized, taking into account the rights of individuals legitimately enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic.<\/p>\n

He recalled that the fight against corruption undertaken by IGAE must be a continuous task for everyone to assist the Executive in implementing public policies that contribute to the promotion and socioeconomic development of the country.<\/p>\n

The provincial governor, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, in turn, expressed his willingness to continue collaborating with the justice administration bodies in the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will continue to collaborate with transparency, facilitating everything that is requested of us for the well-being of our population\u201d, he assured.<\/p>\n

This is the third delegate to lead IGAE in the province of Zaire in less than three years.<\/p>\n
