{"id":54715,"date":"2024-01-24T16:25:29","date_gmt":"2024-01-24T16:25:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/?p=54715"},"modified":"2024-01-24T16:07:01","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T16:07:01","slug":"private-security-company-returns-weapons-of-war-to-the-national-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/private-security-company-returns-weapons-of-war-to-the-national-police","title":{"rendered":"Private security company returns weapons of war to the National Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>Twenty weapons of war that were previously used by a private security company, in the municipality of Soyo, were, this Tuesday, returned to the Zaire Provincial Command of the National Police, as part of the process of collecting and replacing the weapons owned by private companies.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>These are KM-type weapons, caliber 7.62mm, and on that occasion, the same company also presented to the police 20 other shotgun-type weapons, Mirage brand, caliber 12mm, which, from now on, will be used by its employees.<\/p>\n<p>Taking the floor, Zaire&#8217;s provincial commander of the National Police, Commissioner Firmino Uyamba, asked all private companies that still have weapons of war to hand them over to the competent authorities, in compliance with presidential order No. 008, of 18 October 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The commander praised the speed and prompt response of the Teleservice company in handing over the war weapons to the police, previously used by its officers, and replacing it with organic weapons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe company Teleservice, aware of its responsibilities, materialized the instructions downloaded in November last year, in a meeting included in this process\u201d, he highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>Firmino Uyamba encouraged other companies to follow the same example, complying with the recommendations contained in the presidential order.<\/p>\n<p>In turn, the site manager of the company Teleservice, Augusto Dias Paulo, said that the act is part of the Government&#8217;s strategy of replacing weapons of war held by private security companies with organic weapons.<\/p>\n<p>The Zaire Provincial Command of the National Police controls 83 private security companies, of which 71 have weapons of war.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first act of handing over weapons of war that has taken place in the region since this process began at the end of last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
