Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola and the United States of America made this Thursday, in Luanda, a commitment to continue strengthening political, diplomatic and economic-business cooperation ties, with a view to the well-being of both States and peoples.<\/b><\/p>\n

The head of Angolan diplomacy, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio, who spoke during the joint press conference with the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, highlighted the good environment in Angola-USA relations, resulting from the commitment of diplomacy from both countries.<\/p>\n

Responding to journalists’ questions, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio said that Angola has many spaces for strengthening cooperation with the United States of America and other international actors, due to the numerous needs that the country faces.<\/p>\n

For his part, the American Secretary of State stressed his Government’s willingness to continue institutionally sponsoring political stability, security, good governance and the safeguarding of the human rights of Angolans, the Southern region and the African continent.<\/p>\n

Antony Blinken said that Angola is and will continue to be an important and unavoidable actor in maintaining peace and stability in Africa, but especially in the Southern and Central regions, through its preponderant role in SADC, CEEAC and CIRGL.<\/p>\n

Antony Blinken’s visit to Angola is part of a tour he is taking to some African countries, namely Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria and Cape Verde.<\/p>\n

In the countries he visited, the head of North American diplomacy highlighted how the US is investing in infrastructure in Africa to boost bilateral trade and create jobs nationally and on the continent.<\/p>\n

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken shared the US’ desire to help Africa compete in the global market and show how this giant has accelerated the partnership since the US-Africa Leaders’ Summit in key areas, which include climate, food security and sanitary.<\/p>\n
