Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The director of the Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports office in the province of Huambo, Jeremias Piedade Chissanga, defended the need for the National Team to adopt the same attitude in defense and attack, in the game against Namibia. <\/b><\/p>\n

In statements, this Friday, regarding the match on Saturday, at 6 pm, at the Peace Stadium, in Bouake\u0301, for the round of 16 of the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations CAN’2023) in football, which takes place in Cote d’Ivoire, said that the tactics should be the same, as there were significant improvements from the first to the third game.<\/p>\n

He said that, although coaches always tend to adopt different strategies depending on the circumstances of each match, the Angolan players are well placed in their positions, as they conceded few goals and scored in decisive moments, which demonstrates good collective work.<\/p>\n

He added that this must be maintained, according to the old saying \u201cthe team that wins doesn’t move\u201d, and to do so, it is necessary to enter to win and not concede goals in the opening minutes.<\/p>\n

Jeremias Piedade Chissanga asked the Angolan people not to put too much pressure on Palancas Negras, letting the team play with greater peace of mind, as the initial objectives have already been achieved and now they can only dream about the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n

He said that Angola has the conditions to win, although a lot of caution is needed, due to the fact that Namibia has invested a lot in recent times in sport, particularly football, with the construction of various infrastructures, training and sports management, which could frustrate the intentions of the National Team.<\/p>\n

In the first phase, the National Team finished at the top of group D, with seven points, the result of a draw and two victories, against Algeria (1-1), Mauritania (3-2) and Burkina Faso (2-0).<\/p>\n

The Namibians, in turn, who competed in group E, placed themselves in third place, with four points, thanks to a triumph, equal number of draws and defeats, against Tunisia (1-0), Mali (0-0 ) and South Africa (0-4).<\/p>\n
