Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>\u201cMemo\u0301rias da Independe\u0302ncia\u201d is the title of a book written by Angolan journalist Guilherme Galiano, which will be launched on February 8, in the auditorium of Edifi\u0301cio Kilamba, in Luanda, under the auspices of Editora Aca\u0301cias.<\/b><\/p>\n

The presentation of the work will be in charge of Rosa Cruz e Silva, former Minister of Culture and current spokesperson for the Council of State.<\/p>\n

According to the preface, the book \u201creveals subjective perspectives, episodes kept to this day in the most restricted space of the private forum, unexpected stories, revived and told by a group of personalities, who, coming from different political and social backgrounds, agreed to share them in a television project entitled \u201cMemories of Independence\u201d.<\/p>\n

Guilherme Galiano interviewed 69 personalities on the program broadcast by TV Zimbo, which, in 2015, marked the media agenda and became a reference for quality and \u201cpublic service\u201d on Angolan television.<\/p>\n

The book (first volume) provides testimonies from politicians, military personnel, writers, academics and activists from the three Angolan national liberation movements (MPLA, FNLA, UNITA), totaling 11.<\/p>\n

Among the personalities are Dino Matross, Ernesto Mulato, Franc\u0327a Ndalu, Jaka Jamba, Jorge Valentim, Jose\u0301 Diogo Ventura, Jose\u0301 Samuel Chiwale, Lucas Ngonda, Luzia English, Roberto de Almeida and Roberto Ngongo.<\/p>\n

Guilherme Galiano was born in the province of Benguela, on September 28, 1960. He began his professional career at Ra\u0301dio Universidade Tejo (RUT), where he presented the program \u201cVoz do Kilimanjaro\u201d, later moving to Ra\u0301dio Comercial (1986 \u2013 1992).<\/p>\n

He was also at Ra\u0301dio Clube Portugue\u0302s (1992-1994), having later joined the \u201cCanal A\u0301frica\u201d project, as one of its founders and where he was the \u201cpivot\u201d of the \u201cManha\u0303 Informativa\u201d program, for 16 years.<\/p>\n

The \u201cKandandu\u201d program was part of a television co-production between RTP and TPA, starting as a reporter and then presenter of that program, replacing Andre\u0301 Mingas.<\/p>\n

In 2009, he accepted an invitation to hold the position of Program Director at TV Zimbo (Angola’s first private television station). In 10 years of work at TV Zimbo, Guilherme Galiano has already served as director of Information and Special Projects, as well as the role of President of the Board of Directors (PCA).<\/p>\n
