Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>The country acquired around one million 553 386 metric tons (MT) of liquid fuels in the 4th quarter of 2023, increasing 56% compared to the previous quarter, valued at 1.17 billion dollars, reported in Luanda , the director of the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute (IRDP), Lui\u0301s Fernandes.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the ceremony to review the activities of the petroleum derivatives sector, carried out in the 4th half of 2023, he highlighted that, of the tons acquired, around 65.5% corresponds to diesel, 22.8% to gasoline, 6.7% to fuel oil, 4.0% to jet A1, 0.4% to illuminating oil and the remaining 0.6% to asphalt bitumen.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the origin of the aforementioned acquisitions of liquid fuels, he made it known that 21.0% come from the Luanda Refinery, 0.3% from Cabgoc &#8211; Topping de Cabinda and 78.7% from imports.<\/p>\n<p>Lui\u0301s Fernandes said that in the period in question, the country had an installed storage capacity for liquid fuels, on land, of 675,968 cubic meters.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the quarter, he indicated, 1,162 gas stations were registered, of which 912 were operational, divided between 330 from Sonangol &#8211; Distribution and Commercialization (36.2%); 80 from Pumangol (8.8%) and 62 from Sonangalp (6.8%).<\/p>\n<p>There are also 51 from TEMA &#8211; Total Energies Marketing Angola (5.6%); 2 from Etu Energias (0.2%) and 387 from Bandeira Branca &#8211; Private Agents (42.4%).<\/p>\n<p>The director made it known that in terms of the global sales volume of the various business segments, that is, retail (B2C), consumption (B2B) and bunkering, in the period in question, it was approximately 1,262,926 MT, registering an increase of approximately 7.8% compared to the previous quarter.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of market share, in terms of sales volume, he said that Sonangol-Distribuc\u0327a\u0303o e Comercializac\u0327a\u0303o maintains the leadership with 65%, followed by Pumangol with 20%, Sonangalp with 8% and Total Energies Marketing Angola with 7%.<\/p>\n<p>Gaseous fuels and lubricants<\/p>\n<p>The director of the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute (IRDP) said that in the period under analysis, around 99,192 MT of cooking gas &#8211; Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) were introduced into the domestic market, of which 77.7% came from from Fa\u0301brica Angola LNG, 12.7% from Sanha, 6.8% from Luanda Refinery and 2.9% from Cabinda Topping.<\/p>\n<p>In relation to the previous quarter, there was a decrease of approximately 36% in the acquisition of LPG for the domestic market, he said.<\/p>\n<p>In this segment, he continued, the country had an installed onshore storage capacity of 11,727 MT.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding sales, the record is a total of 123,593 MT, which represented a slight increase of 0.3% compared to the previous quarter, and in this segment, Sonangol Ga\u0301s e Energias Renova\u0301veis \u200b\u200bled sales of the market, with a share of 75.2%, followed by Saiga\u0301s with 12.4%, Proga\u0301s with 6.3%, Gaste\u0301m with 4.7% and Canhongo Ga\u0301s with 1.4%.<\/p>\n<p>As for the provinces that consumed the most LPG, Luanda (59.3%), Benguela (9.7%), Hui\u0301la (6.1%), Huambo (4.6%) and Cabinda (3.3%) stand out. ), representing the five, approximately 83% of national consumption.<\/p>\n<p>In relation to Lubricants, he said that in this segment, until the end of this summary, there was a volume of around 9302 MT sold on the domestic market, by the main companies, representing an increase of approximately 16% in relation to the previous quarter.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that of the total volume sold described above, 1,310 MT originated from national production, corresponding to 14% and the remaining 7,992 MT came from imports, corresponding to 86%.<\/p>\n<p>According to the director, Sonangol-Distribuc\u0327a\u0303o e Comercializac\u0327a\u0303o led sales in the lubricants market in the period under analysis, with a share of around 21.72% of the total, followed by Chinangol with 9.80%, Jambo with 7. 06%, Sonangalp with 6.94% and Lubritec with 6.86%, closing the top 5 in that market.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211;
